Messenger's Report

I’m here to report the death of Elaine Logan, born Melanie Elizabeth Brown.   Died early the morning of April 14th.

She and the runner known as Elliot went after an agent called Angmar, who had kidnapped a young girl called Emily and was staying with her in an abandoned warehouse.  Elliot managed to escape with Emily (both relatively unharmed), though the warehouse exploded with Elaine and Angmar inside.  We have identified both bodies—or the remnants thereof (Elaine’s tattoos made her remains easier to identify).  Cause of death seems to be an explosion.  Those investigating say that there appear to have been multiple smaller explosions as opposed to one giant one.  While it’s uncomfirmed, they also say that the source appears to be amateur-made explosives.

So ends Elaine’s chapter in this story.  She was some pretty well-known figurehead to a lot of people or some shit like that.  I dunno.  A lot of people respected her or something, so I guess a lot of people are upset she’s gone.  She did preemptively leave some final words, so there’s that.  Another story given closure.  Another one bites the dust.

Blog’s over, people.  Nothing to see here.  Move along.

  1. That sounds like a great way to die.

  2. I'm pretty sure she would have preferred going out in the middle of fucking, but saving Emily takes precedence. It's still not too bad of a way to go.

    1. Well, we don't know what they were doing right before the explosions started, sooo...

    2. Did you just insinuate Elaine did the horizontal monster mash with Angmar? -shudder- Ewww.

  3. Wow. I suppose I should be impressed with Angmar. But somehow I don't think he PLANNED to get killed in that explosion. Oh well. No big loss. SAY. Anyone know what happened to that kid? Emily or whatever. I am kind of hungry.

    1. Read the blog, remember? She's going to stay with Ben.

    2. Leave the kid alone. No sense in killing something that hasn't lived long enough to deserve it yet.

    3. Benjamin, darn it. Why can't anybody get this straight? Is it so hard to type jamin? Are you missing the j on your keyboard?

    4. I sure as hell hope there are no kids being entrusted to your care.

      No offense or anything.

      Jackass.

    5. I hope so too. The proper place for orphans is in the care of the state. They have systems for these things, and can even provide the psychiatric help the kid no doubt needs.

    6. So much hatred and bickering. Does this ALWAYS happen when people die? Oh wait. Yes, yes it does.

    7. Because a social worker can protect me from the bad man. Dummy

  4. Oh, yes, an additional note for those curious: Angmar was NOT, in fact, working under orders. He went independent on this one. Doesn't really make a difference, I suppose. Plenty of independents out there.

And as was mentioned earlier, Emily has been entrusted to Benjamin Vanderwaal of Little Lion Man: http://aloneamongthewreck.wordpress.com/

  6. There was a lot I wanted to say but never could. hindsight's a bitch.

You were maybe the first person I was in consistant contact with out of this whole mess who wasn't trying to maim me. You brought me into the fold when I was alone, and too full of arrogance and self-pity to admit that I needed help.

You didn't just give me someone to talk to. I learned from you. On how to see people as...more than just bumps in the road. How to really look at them and appreciate them.

You had your flaws, for sure...a bit too quick with the knives at some points, and I suppose your addiction to sex and booze doesn't even need to be mentioned by now.

But for the ones you loved, you would do anything. And I saw from you the kind of strength it takes to make those decisions. more than that, even. I saw how you treated your loved ones, made them each feel like they were the most important person in the world.

You taught me that I was wasting my life even before I was stalked, centering everything on myself and assuming no one else had the brains to be worth consideration. Shutting myself away from the world.

You taught me how to be a PERSON, Elaine. that's a lesson no "thanks" could be enough for.

so I won't waste my breath on thanks.

later, you old hag. it's been real.
